My lil sis went to Edinburgh this weekend and checked out Augustines - our church venue - from the outside. She sent me pics and it looks massive. The vicar didn’t answer when they rang the bell though… must have been too busy ironing the vicar’s knickers…

So the website’s built, the programme entries are in, the venue contract is signed… it’s time to get creative. Had the reading at Network on Thursday night. Great to see a good crowd appear. Read through the script in a big circle on the stage. Difficult to get the gist in certain scenes when you haven’t got a script in front of you, what with the dual monologue phone conversations etc. Just like last time, we got a really good turn out of girls but very few guys. Roll up, roll up chaps. Am not happy with the script yet. Have been in mad panic to get a cut down version ready for last night but noticed a few duff bits last night. Need to spruce it up a bit too. Oh and it’s press release and advertising time. Anyone know anyone who’s good at graphic design?

Preparing for the Fringe

Well, Class is kind of made. It’s written. That was done last year. And I put in on last year too… but this is about a refined Class (oh Elise would love that!) and getting it to the Edinburgh Fringe. And on the way, showing it for a week in London in July.

I’m in a complete and utter panic. Am only half way through editing the script to make sure it doesn’t run beyond 1hr20mins and the reading is in 3 days time at Network. Meanwhile I’ve got a mass of emails from prospective auditionees to go through and apparently the Fringe Press release date is only round the corner. Can anybody help with Press Releases? Perlease?
